You’ve seen the banners; you’ve seen the public buses and trains all dressed up; you’ve seen the wave of features and reports in the media.
A view of the 28th SEA Games torch.
The 28th SEA Games will soon be upon us, and the Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC) would like you to help kick-start the proceedings by coming down to witness the 28th SEA Games Torch Parade.
Held at Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay area on 4th June, a day prior to the official opening of the Games, this event will bear a unique mix of elements, both entertaining and ceremonial, to keep passers-by riveted.
Those keen on catching the actual igniting of the SEA Games torch should secure positions closer to the stage as dusk approaches. Supporters and spectators are encouraged to line the route that the flame will take or join the parade from Flame passing points at the Merlion Park, Esplande Outdoor Theatre and The Float @ Marina Bay.
